Over two days we watch the Angry Bird movie. And today I’m gonna tell you what is similar between the movie and New Zealand Society. In the movie there is an island full of birds and there living happily but then all of a sudden a boat comes and docks on there land. And it's a pig and it says he comes in peace. They tell the birds that they can bring them new technology and make there lives why better. But after being treated with a nice welcome they notice that the birds make eggs and they looooove eggs and so they made a plan to steal all there eggs and have a good feast back where they come from. They next morning the birds find out that all there eggs are missing BUT also the pigs where missing too.
And so what is the same is that the once people came to New Zealand and just took things from New Zealand and the people living there where just getting stuff stolen
Waitangi Day is the day the treaty of Waitangi was signed the day two nations became one the day New Zealand came that little bit more peaceful. But what it means to me is actually not that much it means the i can live in a lovely place where people aren’t fighting over land and things like that. You can ask me what i do but that would be just boring cause I don’t do much i either sit at home or go do things with my friend or family. And the thing is that not many people will know about this treaty these rules that was made 150 years ago and its mainly the people that come from other country’s the people who come on holiday or maybe are moving over here. They don’t know what it is they may be confused when someone ask the about it they may say “What’s the treaty of Waitangi Day?” Cause maybe 150 years ago they were really like on top of those people who did do what the treaty says they should be doing but now not many people care about it. And that’s maybe cause there aren’t as many Maori people in New Zealand cause not many people are learning it.
